Allium balsaticum 'Silver Spring' also known as 'Red Eye' is one of the more unique alliums we have available. The Silver Spring has pristine white petals surrounding a beautifully contrasting deep pink and red centre. Once fully grown they can reach a maximum height of 60cm around June or July when the plant blooms. The Silver Spring does best when planted late in the year from September to December.
The balsaticum 'Silver Spring' should be planted in well-drained, fertile soil in direct sunlight. It is beneficial to provide these plants with a sheltered side to protect the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
