Erythronium americanum, also known as Dogs Tooth Violet, are excellent woodland plants that thrive in semi-shaded environments. These plants produce small yellow flowers with a distinctive brown stripe on the outside of the petals and have mottled leaves.
Erythronium americanum thrives in both light and dappled shade, as long as it is planted in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil that remains moist throughout the summer. Upon receiving the tubers, plant them and avoid disturbing them for optimal growth.
